ARTIST STATEMENT

When I started to think about what I wanted to do with my life, graphic design didn’t cross my mind.

I was determined to find the path that would bring joy in my career and the path I was designed to do. Finally graphic design crossed my path and I felt passion and excitement. 

The exhibit is called Creating Me because all of the designs picked for the show had a part in creating who I am as a designer and a person. I picked pieces that challenged me and caused me to grow.

They don’t directly connect to each other but they are connected through the fact I am proud of all of them. All of these pieces have a special place in my heart. When completing each of these projects I learned valuable lessons about design and myself.

Creating Me also symbolizes the growth that is to come. I hope to always see ways I can improve myself as a designer and as a person. Overall, this collection contains selections I am most proud of and they have all played a part in creating me.
